Ending 2025 at the Peak: The Highest Cardiac Surgery Volume of My Journey So Far
As 2025 comes to a close, this month stands as a defining milestone in my professional journey.
82+ adult cardiac surgeries in December — the highest ever performed by me, and the highest monthly volume in the history of BP Poddar Hospital’s Cardiac Surgery Unit.
Earlier this year, July 2025 recorded 81 surgeries.
December moved the benchmark forward — not through speed alone, but through structured systems, disciplined execution, and a deeply committed team.
For me, this achievement is not about numbers.
It is about safe scale — delivering high-volume cardiac surgery without compromising outcomes, ethics, or patient trust.
Every case represents a life restored, a family reassured, and a responsibility fulfilled.
I am deeply grateful to my physician assistant,anesthesia, perfusion, ICU, OT, and nursing teams, hospital leadership, and colleagues — and above all, to my patients, who entrusted me with their hearts.
As we step into 2026, the focus remains unchanged:
